Our mission at McGraw-Hill Education is to enhance both teaching and learning by providing effective instructional materials to educators and students. Our Commitment to Excellence initiative is one way we can realize this mission. Through Internet technology, we are providing updates and information on elementary and high school textbooks.

We take great pride in our publishing process, which teachers and students can trust to incorporate the most accurate and up-to-date information available. Throughout our publishing process, we rely on the expertise and commitment of respected:
  • Authors,
  • Writers,
  • Content Specialists,
  • Fact-Checkers,
  • Editors and Proofreaders,
  • Photo Researchers,
  • Book Designers.
These individuals review materials at all stages of product development to ensure accuracy and the highest quality possible. Before a book goes to print, these professionals review the text and visual elements on every page for accuracy in grammar, spelling, sentence structure, organization, and factual content.

The Internet enables us to expedite our goal of delivering error-free textbooks. With our Commitment to Excellence Web site, we are able to provide information and updates as soon as they are available.

When we identify the need for an update or correction, we work quickly to implement the change in printed form. The Commitment to Excellence Web site includes updates and changes based on the following criteria:
  • To clarify text or visual images that affect the understanding of a concept;
  • For books published with a 2000 copyright and beyond;
  • For corrections to the third or subsequent printing of a book, and
  • For corrections to Pupil Edition and Teacher's Edition books.
All books are identified by their ISBN numbers. The Commitment to Excellence initiative includes books published by the following four groups: The Commitment to Excellence initiative aligns with the Association of American Publishers' "Accuracy-line" program, which enables customers or users to submit comments or errors via one central Web site, http://www.publishers.org/abouta/school/eline.htm.

Customers or users may also submit comments about a McGraw-Hill Education textbook to us directly by e-mail at cte@mcgraw-hill.com.
